Data Analysis - Merge Multiple Applications Into Data Warehouse

The customer had several applications to support their business in which the users had to access these different applications to complete daily work. However, the data sharing is not possible between applications, therefore, plenty of manual efforts and resources are required to collect business data for statistics to HQ strategy.



After analyzing the current applications and businesses, DHC integrated several databases with Enterprise Data Module (EDM) and merged all the applications into a new one. Based on the EDM database, DHC linked other databases and set up data warehouse. The reporting tool, Cognos, retrieves data from data warehouses and provides reports and KPI for HQ strategy.

The new application improves the efficiency and productivity, optimizes their business processes, and reduces cost and resources. EDM database enhanced the compatibility and expansibility of the system. From Cognos, the HQ can get real-time business data for strategy.
